Works really well. I like the fact that I can program as many channels I need with the same frequencies and different CTCSS and DCS codes so I can access different repeaters across a large region. Other than the 2 volume controls, if you want to do anything else, you must deal with the menu buttons, or figure out all the microphone buttons. Each side can also perform other functions, such as a channel scan, so you could monitor a channel on one side while scanning on the other. If it turns out that people like the repeater mode function and are using it frequently we will certainly need to come up with something. The dual receive capability allows you to park one side on your primary channel and scan with the other side (or you can both sides independently scanning).
